Shariah Committee

As Amlak International Company is keen on the compatibility with the provisions of Islamic laws. It has created a Sharia Committee which consists of a number of scholars who are specialized in the jurisprudence of financial transactions and Islamic economics. The role of this board is represented by studying, providing fatwa, authorizing the products, developing the legitimacy controls, and making decisions toward them. This board is independent of the company's departments, and all company's transactions are subject to its approval and control. Its decisions are binding on the entire company.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Qarithe Chairman of Sharia Committee. His numerous academic and scholarly qualifications in Islamic finance and economics, coupled with his commitment to the deeply cultural nature of his mission, greatly add to the expertise of our team. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from King Abdulaziz University in 1975, followed by a Master's and Doctoral degree in Economics from the University of California in 1984. . Dr. Mohammed Al-Qari was as Chairman of the Sharia Board at Dubai Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD, Al-Inma Investment Company, Standard & Poor's, and Hanover General Insurance Company, amongst many other major companies and institutions. In addition, he has received numerous awards, including the Islamic Development Bank Award in the field of Banking and Islamic Finance in 2004, the KLIFF Award in Malaysia for his outstanding contribution to Islamic financing, and the Euromoney Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Islamic Finance Sector.

Vice Chairman of the Sharia Committee

Dr. Yousuf bin Abdullah Al Shubaily, a Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at the Higher Judicial Institute of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, serves as the Vice Chairman of the Sharia Committee. His extensive experience is derived from his academic background and memberships in prominent legal bodies. His academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, followed by a Master's degree with exceptional distinction and a Doctorate with first-class honors from the Higher Judicial Institute at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. He is also a primary member of the Civil Transactions Team of the Judicial Legislation Committee in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and contributes globally as an expert in Islamic jurisprudence. In addition, he serves as the chairman and member of the Sharia Committees for several Islamic financial institutions. He has effectively supervised numerous scientific dissertations, authored many research papers.

Mr. Rashid Al-Ghunaim is a Member of the Sharia Committee and prominent legal advisor with a deep understanding of Islamic jurisprudence. His extensive experience in the legal and financial sectors, garnered through various professional roles, makes him an invaluable member of our team. His academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in 1998, followed by a Master's degree in Jurisprudence from the Higher Judicial Institute in 2001. His pioneering journey began in the Ministry of Justice as a judge. He later addressed complex legal issues in his role as Senior Legal Advisor and became a partner at Abdulaziz Al-Qasim Law Firm. He played a part in establishing the Rashid Al-Ghunaim Law & Consultations office, making a significant impact on the legal scene. He also contributes to the Sharia Commitee of Amlak International, the Sharia Board of Medgulf Cooperative Insurance Company, the Sharia Board of Middle East Financial Investment Company, and the Cooperative Insurance Company.
